The Official First Look Photos From BILL AND TED FACE THE MUSIC Are Excellent!

Fans have been waiting for almost 30 years for the continuation of the story of Bill S. Preston and Ted “Theodore” Logan. We are finally getting our wish in the upcoming third installment entitled Bill and Ted Face the Music, and it’s just around the corner! Entertainment Weekly has released new photos today giving us our first look at the stars of the film, an old familiar face, and a couple of new ones.

The film stars Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves reprising their starring roles, with William Sadler returning as death. Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) plays Bill’s daughter, Thea, and Brigette Lundy-Paine (Atypical) plays Ted’s daughter, Billie. Writers of the first films Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have returned for the sequel, and Matheson told EW, “The daughters really love their dads’ music and want to help them.”

Matheson went on to talk about the plot of this film, saying:

“They were told when they were teenagers that they were going to save reality, and they’ve been working on it the whole time. Now an emissary from the future comes and says, ‘You’ve got to do it right now. We’ve got literally 80 minutes or all of reality will come to an end.’”

So the stakes are pretty high for Bill and Ted! Beck Bennett (SNL) has also joined the cast and portrays Ted’s younger brother, Deacon. And musician Kid Cudi will be in the film as well, playing himself. Director Dean Parisot said of his role, “He plays Kid Cudi. He gets mysteriously thrown around through various times, because all time and space is coming unglued.”

While Reeves has stayed in the spotlight throughout the years since the first two films, Winter has gotten away from acting and has mainly taken on directing documentaries. When asked by EW if he was nervous about acting again, he replied, “If I was going back into doing fricking King Lear, then I would have been wetting my nappies. But I do know this guy pretty well.”

I’m so excited for this movie! Bill and Ted are classic characters, and I can’t wait to see them again. Check out the photos above and below, and see Bill and Ted Face the Music on August 21, 2020.
