Awesome New Trailer For ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL Shows Off Some Motorball Action
We’ve got a brand-spankin’ new trailer for you to watch for the awesome-looking sci-fi action adventure film Alita: Battle Angel! The trailer is locked and loaded with some incredibly cool new footage including some clips of Alita demolishing the competition on the Motorball track!
This is the best trailer for the film that has been released so far as it not only offers more footage, but also reveals more details regarding the story.
James Cameron has been wanting to make this project for over the past 15 years. He ended up choosing not to direct the film himself, though, and handed the directing reigns to Robert Rodriquez and it looks like this could be one of the best and most visually stunning films that he’s made.
I’m super excited about this movie. The released date has been pushed back a couple of times to make sure the film is the best quality it can be in before it’s released and I can’t wait to see how the story turns out. I certainly love what I’ve seen in the trailers that have been released! It seems like the CGI effects have gotten even better. They are more polished in this latest trailer.
The film is based on the graphic novel series Gunnm by Yukito Kishiro, and this is the synopsis that was released:
Visionary filmmakers James Cameron (Avatar) and Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) create a groundbreaking new heroine in Alita: Battle Angel, an action-packed story of hope, love and empowerment. Set several centuries in the future, the abandoned Alita (Rosa Salazar) is found in the scrapyard of Iron City by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate cyber-doctor who takes the unconscious cyborg Alita to his clinic. When Alita awakens she has no memory of who she is, nor does she have any recognition of the world she finds herself in. Everything is new to Alita, every experience a first. As she learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield Alita from her mysterious past while her street-smart new friend, Hugo (Keean Johnson), offers instead to help trigger her memories. A growing affection develops between the two until deadly forces come after Alita and threaten her newfound relationships. It is then that Alita discovers she has extraordinary fighting abilities that could be used to save the friends and family she’s grown to love. Determined to uncover the truth behind her origin, Alita sets out on a journey that will lead her to take on the injustices of this dark, corrupt world, and discover that one young woman can change the world in which she lives.
Alita: Battle Angel also stars Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, and Jackie Earle Haley. The movie is set to be released on February 14, 2019.
