Awesome New Trailer for KAIJU NO. 8, Which Is Being Hyped as the Best Anime of the Year

A new trailer has dropped for Kaiju No. 8, one of the most anticipated upcoming anime projects. As I’ve read up on this, a lot of people are saying that this could end up being the best anime of the year. The anime is based on a beloved manga by Naoya Matsumoto, and it really does look awesome!

Kaiju No. 8 takes place in “a world tormented by the appearance of massive kaiju intent on destroying humanity. The story follows a character named Kafka who gains the power to transform into one of these kaiju and starts fighting back to protect humanity, but not everyone understands that this mysterious new kaiju is actually on their side.”

The new trailer also reveals that the series will premiere on April 13, and that the opening title song, called “Abyss” will be performed by Yungblud. The closing song will be performed by OneRepublic, and it’s called “Nobody.”

This is a rare case where both the opening and closing songs of an anime will be performed by English-language artists and the songs themselves will be entirely in English as well.

Kaiju No. 8 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll. Episodes will also premiere on X at the same time, making the show the first big anime to debut episodes on the social media platform.

The series is animated by Production I.G., the studio behind projects like Ghost in the Shell and Haikyu!!.
