Awesome Trailer For THE FLASH Features Michael Keaton's Batman in Action!
As promised, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the long-awaited DC film The Flash, and it features lots of awesome new footage for fans to enjoy! Ezra Miller stars as Barry Allan a.k.a. The Flash in the movie, but the most exciting part about it is that Michael Keaton is going to be back as Batman and we get to see him back in awesome action in this trailer! This is the only reason I have any excitement for this movie and it’s a shame that Keaton’s return as Batman is only going to be limited to this movie.
Here’s the first synopsis that was shared:
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to,” says the synopsis. “That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
This movie is going to break open the DC multiverse, director Andy Muschietti previously teased "all that you've seen exists." The Flash will see Barry Allen "breaking the bonds of physics to crash into various parallel dimensions, where he’ll encounter slightly different versions of DC’s classic heroes." teh director also said:
"This movie is a bit of a hinge in the sense that it presents a story that implies a unified universe where all the cinematic iterations that we’ve seen before are valid. It’s inclusive in the sense that it is saying all that you’ve seen exists, and everything that you will see exists, in the same unified multiverse.
"I will tell you is that it's a ride. It's going to be fun and exciting and there are a lot of DC characters in it. Flash is the superhero of this film because he is the bridge between all of these characters and timelines. And in a way, it restarts everything and doesn't forget anything."
James Gunn called the film “probably one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.” It’s also been confirmed that this movie is going to unlock DC Studios’ first phase of films, known as Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.
Miller will be joined by Ben Affleck as Batman and Sasha Calle as Supergirl, along with Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú who are playing Barry’s parents. Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls) and internet personality Rudy Mancuso have also been cast in undisclosed roles.. The Flash will be released on June 23rd, 2023.
