Awesome Teaser Trailer for the TRAIN TO BUSAN Sequel PENINSULA Is Filled with Zombie Insanity!
The first teaser trailer has dropped for the highly anticipated sequel to the zombie horror-thriller Train To Busan. It’s titled Peninsula, and this looks like a freakin’ awesome sequel! The teaser is packed full of action-packed footage and wonderful zombie insanity!
The story is set four years after the events of Train To Busan, and the world is now in a post-apocalyptic nightmare that people are trying to survive in. Here’s the full synopsis:
Four years after South Korea’s total decimation in TRAIN TO BUSAN, the zombie thriller that captivated audiences worldwide, acclaimed director Yeon Sang-ho brings us PENINSULA, the next nail-biting chapter in his post-apocalyptic world. Jung-seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best—or worst—of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.
The sequel stars Gang Dong-Won (My Brilliant Life) as Jung-Seok, Lee Jung-Hyun (The Battleship Island) as Min-Jung, Lee Re (Witch’s Court) as Joon, Kwon Hae-Hyo (The Crowned Clown) as Kim Noh, Kim Min-Jae (Urban Cops), Go Kyo-Hwan, Kim Do-Yoon, and Lee Ye-Won.
When previously talking about the movie, director Yeon Sang-ho said that Peninsula will make the Train to Busan look like an independent film.
“The scale of Peninsula can’t compare to Train To Busan, it makes it look like an independent film. Train To Busan was a high-concept film shot in narrow spaces whereas Peninsula has a much wider scope of movement.”
