Awesome Trailer For Edgar Wright's Murder Mystery Horror Film LAST NIGHT IN SOHO
Director Edgar Wright has made a supernatural murder mystery horror movie titled Last Night in Soho, and it looks freakin’ fantastic! Focus Features has released a new trailer for you to watch and it offers more story details and lots of great footage!
This psychological horror-thriller is an awesomely visual stylized film reminiscent of the classic psychedelic horror films of the ‘60s, especially the Italian horror films. I just love the tone and the style that Wright wrapped the film in to tell his story.
The story is set in London and follows a young girl “who is passionate about fashion design, who mysteriously enters the 1960s where she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer. But 1960s London is not what it seems, and time seems to fall apart with shady consequences.”
When recently talking about the film at the Venice Film Festical, Wright called it “a dark Valentine to Soho. I love London, but there’s a lot to fear about it as well, so you have a conflicted relationship with the city… I’ve spent more time in Soho than I have on any of my couches at home. The story of the film and the film itself were inescapable at some point.”
The filmmaker went on to explain that the point of the movie is , “It’s dangerous to romanticize the past… Things that are happening now, were happening then.”
The movie also stars Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Thomasin McKenzie (JoJo Rabbit), Matt Smith (The Crown), Synnøve Karlsen, Michael Ajao, Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp, and Rita Tushingham.
Last Night in Soho will now be released on October 22, 2021.
