Awesome Trailer for Hilarious Second Season of MAX Pirate Comedy OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH
An awesome new trailer has been released to pump us up for season 2 of Max’s hilarious and ridiculous pirate comedy series Our Flag Means Death. The show welcomes back producer and actor Taika Waititi, who stars in the series as Blackbeard the Pirate, and he’s joined by Rhys Darby as Stede Bonnet. Other returning stars include Nathan Foad, Samson Kayo, Vico Ortiz, Ewen Bremner, Joel Fry, Matt Maher, Kristian Nairn, Con O’Neill, Guz Khan, David Fane, Rory Kinnear, Samba Schutte, Nat Faxon, Fred Armisen and Leslie Jones.
Season 2 picks up after Stede (Rhys Darby) and Blackbeard (Taika Waititi) have essentially broken up, as Blackbeard felt abandoned and Stede and the Revenge crew were left to their own devices. Now, Stede and Blackbeard must confront their heartache and find their way back to each other. Of course, it won't be smooth sailing and the duo still have other pirate-related duties to tend to. Stede continues his quest to be The Gentleman Pirate, focused on a less violent approach. Meanwhile, Blackbeard still seems to uphold his fearsome reputation through everything.
Series creator David Jenkins says this chapter of the series will be the second of three if MAX is kind enough to renew the series for another season.
Our Flag Means Death Season 2 hits MAX on Thursday, October 5th, with the release of its first three episodes.
