BAAHUBALI: THE ETERNAL WAR Teaser Trailer Unleashes an Epic Cosmic Battle Beyond the Mortal Realm
Arka Mediaworks has dropped the first epic teaser trailer for Baahubali: The Eternal War, an all-new animated spin-off set in the legendary universe created by S.S. Rajamouli.
The teaser offers a stunning glimpse into this next chapter of the Baahubali saga, blending breathtaking animation with the emotional weight and grandeur fans have come to expect from this world.
Following the massive re-release of Baahubali: The Epic, a special cut combining Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, Arka Mediaworks is expanding the story in an entirely new direction.
This animated feature will pick up after the shocking betrayal and death of Amarendra Baahubali, voiced once again by Prabhas, taking fans on a journey that reaches far beyond Mahishmati and into the afterlife itself.
According to the official synopsis: “Set in the wake of the iconic cliffhanger that ended Baahubali: The Beginning, The Eternal War will follow the betrayed and murdered prince Amarendra Baahubali (voiced by Telugu cinema titan Prabhas in a reprisal of his film role) into the afterlife.
“His heart aching for those he left behind, Amarendra Baahubali finds himself at the center of an ancient cosmic war between Devas & Asuras. As he navigates through 14 realms of existence, he forges an unlikely alliance, confronts divine forces beyond mortal comprehension, & fights to restore balance to the cosmos.”
Baahubali: The Eternal War is being directed by Ishan Shukla, the acclaimed animation filmmaker behind Schirkoa: In Lies We Trust and Star Wars: Visions – The Bandits of Golak.
The screenplay is written by Scott Mosier, best known for producing Kevin Smith’s cult classics, with dialogue by Deva Katta and Madhan Karky, based on a story by Ishan Shukla and Sowmya Sharma.
Speaking about expanding the Baahubali universe into animation, S.S. Rajamouli said: “When Ishan brought us the idea of expanding the Baahubali universe into a stylised animated epic, it clicked instantly.
“It feels like a seamless, organic extension of the world we built, one that will thrill long-time fans and invite new audiences in. I am excited to bring these two films to the big screen.”
The animation style leans into stylized, high-fantasy visuals, with massive celestial landscapes, divine warriors, and an otherworldly atmosphere that promises to push the Baahubali saga into bold new territory.
Baahubali: The Eternal War will unfold across multiple parts, with Part 1 set to hit theaters in 2027.
