BAD BOYS FOR LIFE Officially Confirmed with Photo of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith

Not long ago we heard that the third Bad Boys film Bad Boys For Life could start shooting early next year. But, this film has been in and out of development for years and there still wasn’t an official green light on it until now.

Martin Lawrence recently shared a photo of himself hanging out with Will Smith on the beach and the image came with the caption “It’s official.” So, that’s exciting! 15 years after Bad Boys 2, we are actually going to get a sequel with Miami PD’s most infamous police officers.

The movie was originally supposed to be directed by Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin’ Aces), then he dropped out and was replaced by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who previously worked on FX’s show Snowfall.

The most recent script for the film was written by Chris Bremner (The Wedding Ringer). While we don’t know much about the story, the script is said to offer the “right mixture of action set pieces and laughs.” Columbia Pictures president Sanford Panitch also teased that it’s “next-level great”.

I enjoyed the first two films so I hope that this third one manages to capture that some kind of fun action-packed magic.
