Badass BLADE Poster Art by Jonathan Bartlett Celebrates Marvel's Original Big-Screen Vampire Hunter

Artist Jonathan Bartlett has created an awesome new poster for Spoke Art Gallery celebrating the 1998 Marvel action-horror classic Blade, and it's a killer piece of art.

The print features Wesley Snipes as the iconic vampire hunter, armed with his signature sword and looking ready to slice through an army of bloodsuckers. The artwork is drenched in deep reds and blacks, with a gritty, paint-splattered style that perfectly captures the film's dark, violent energy.

The tagline at the top reads, "The Power of an Immortal. The Soul of a Human. The Heart of a Hero." It's a badass tribute to one of Marvel's coolest characters. The limited-edition print measures 24 x 36 inches, is priced at $75, and is limited to just 150 copies.

Released in 1998 and directed by Stephen Norrington, Blade holds an important place in Marvel movie history that doesn't always get the recognition it deserves.

Long before the MCU became a box office juggernaut, Snipes was kicking vampire ass in a bloody, R-rated comic book adaptation that helped prove Marvel characters could be successful on the big screen. The film helped pave the way for X-Men and Spider-Man, which arrived in 2000 and 2002.

With its brutal action, slick martial arts, gothic atmosphere, and Snipes' unforgettable performance, Blade remains one of the coolest Marvel movies ever made. Bartlett's artwork is a great reminder of just how badass this movie was and how much it helped shape the superhero movie landscape.
