Badass Trailer For THE FURIOUS is a Relentless Full-Throttle Martial Arts Showdown!
Lionsgate just unleashed the official trailer for The Furious, and this thing hits awesomely hard! If you’re into full-throttle martial arts action, this one’s about to jump straight to the top of your watchlist.
Directed by stunt legend turned filmmaker Kenji Tanigaki, the film delivers exactly what action fans crave, and then some. The movie amps up the action in a way that might just blow your freakin’ minds.
Set and shot in Bangkok, Thailand, the movie follows Wang Wei, played by Mo Tse, a father pushed past his limits after his daughter is kidnapped by a powerful criminal network.
When the police refuse to help, he takes matters into his own hands. What follows is a brutal, high-energy path of destruction as he teams up with a journalist, Navin, played by Joe Taslim, who has his own personal reasons for going to war.
Together, they go headfirst into a city-wide fight against a crime syndicate that just doesn’t stop coming, and that’s going to be the vibe of the entire movie.
The cast is stacked with serious martial arts talent including Yayan Ruhian, Yang Enyou, Brian Le, Joey Iwanaga, and JeeJa Yanin. On top of that, the film features the same stunt crew that helped make Everything Everywhere All at Once such a wild ride, which tells you everything you need to know about how insane these fight sequences are going to be.
The trailer is packed with brutal hand-to-hand combat, wild choreography, and some seriously jaw-dropping action moments. There are so many fight scenes teased here, and every single one looks like it’s trying to outdo the last.
Fans of The Raid franchise are going to feel right at home with this movie, especially with Taslim and Ruhian back in the mix delivering that same bone-crunching intensity.
The film is written by Mak Tin Shu, Lei Zhilong, Shum Kwan Sin, and Frank Hui, and is based on a character created by David Morrell.
The Furious looks like one of the most intense action movies of the year. It’s fast, aggressive, and loaded with awesome fight choreography!
Lionsgate is bringing The Furious to U.S. theaters on May 29, 2026. If you’re an action fan, this one isn’t optional.
