BALDUR'S GATE: DESCENT INTO AVERNUS Dice & Miscellany Is a Great Bundle of Goodies
Wizards of the Coast was kind enough to send me the Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus Dice & Miscellany, and it’s fantastic. First, you get eleven dice with two d20s (perfect for rolling with advantage or disadvantage), a d12, two d10 (one is a percentile die), a d8, four d6s (perfect for rolling Ability Scores), and one d4.
This is a perfect starter set of dice for someone. In addition to the dice, you get two felt-lined dice trays that can work together to be a box for storing your dice and other goodies. Granted, these dice trays are cardboard, but the whole pack is only about $25. They work really well, and the high walls mean you can throw your dice decently hard, which is important to some of you.
Outside of the dice and dice trays, you also get a foldout map of Avernus, a size comparison of demons and devils, a guide to Infernal, two cards with encounter tables, and 18 cards with story content about the different devils and demons in the Blood War featuring art by Max Dunbar.
My one complaint is that the dice feel lighter and cheaper than most dice I’ve used.
This is an incredible bundle, especially for newer players and DMs. You can purchase your own at your local game store, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.
