BANG! is an Upcoming Comic Series with a Mysterious Author

The other day, I was checking my emails when I found an interesting press release. It talked about an upcoming comic series called BANG!, but the author’s name and anything that could potentially reveal who they are was redacted. I’m not kidding either. Here’s what I got:

As you can tell from the screenshot, the secret author is working with artist Wilfredo Torres, colorist Nayoung Kim, and letterer Nate Piekos to create BANG!. The series will launch in Spring 2020 with new issues releasing monthly. Here’s a cover image and some pictures from the series. I’m intrigued, but wish I had a bit more to give you guys.

“Agent Thomas Cord’s most recent communication was made from the open sea, after acquiring the asset. Our intel confirms that Cord was captured soon after his transmission was made. There is video footage of his capture, subsequent torture and eventual escape from his captors, but Agent Cord has not been seen since and he remains missing-in-action. We have, however, attained the paperback of The 18th Stigmata of Philip K. Verve that Cord was sent to recover.”
