Margot Robbie's BARBIE Movie Scores Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig as Writers
Barbie is getting a film and finally has a writer, or should I say writers. It’s being reported that Warner Bros. and Mattel Studios has brought Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig onto the project to write the film that will star Margot Robbie.
In addition, Gerwig is potentially set to direct Barbie. The last film that Gerwig directed was Lady Bird, and that film was a huge hit. I’m sure that Barbie, while not for everyone, will be a great film for whoever its intended audience is. There’s still no word on what the story will be for the film.
Robbie will be producing the project via LuckyChap alongside Tom Ackerley with Robbie Brenner producing for Mattel Films. What do you think Barbie will be about?
