Barry Keoghan Joins Cillian Murphy in PEAKY BLINDERS Movie

Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin and Saltburn) has joined the cast of Netflix’s highly anticipated Peaky Blinders movie. He joins Cillian Murphy and Rebecca Ferguson in the film.

Tom Harper is directing the movie from a script written by series creator Steven Knight. Plot details have not been shared, but Knight did say at one point that the story would be set during World War II.

Knight talked about the film in the past, saying: “The film, I know exactly what it’s about. And I know what two stories it’s going to tell. What will happen after that, I want that to depend on the film. For all we know somebody is going to pop out – I think I know who it’s going to be.”

Keoghan will make a great addition to the cast and easily fit right into that world. He will next be seen inng Them Down which will premiere at TIFF. He also has the untitled film from Trey Edward Shults that he’s set to star in with the Weekend and Jenna Ortega.

The actor is also in negotiations to join Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo in the Amazon MGM Studios adaptation of Don Winslow’s novella Crime 101.
