BATMAN BEYOND Blu-ray Confirmed During 20th Anniversary Comic-Con Panel

During the 20th Anniversary panel for Batman Beyond in Hall H at Comic-Con, the details were provided for how you can get Batman Beyond in HD. First, starting on August 23, the first season of Batman Beyond will be on DC Universe for streaming.

If you want to own and not merely stream the show, you can get the digital version of the complete series starting on October 15, and if you want physical Blu-rays, those will be available starting October 29. The Blu-rays will be available in a box set that will include Return of the Joker on Blu-ray, although no one seemed to know if it would be the PG-13 version or the uncut edition. Maybe it’ll have both?

In addition to the blu-rays, the boxset will include some gorgeous art and a chrome Batman Beyond Funko Pop that looks pretty awesome. One more thing to note is that 41 of the 52 episodes have been fully remastered. The other 11 have been damaged and so they have been up-rezzed and were not able to be remastered.

At the panel, they showed a clip of a remastered and an up-rezzed one compared to the original SD version. I did think the remaster looked better, but both of them looked amazing! How are you going to be watching Batman Beyond this year?
