BATMAN BEYOND Voice Director Andrea Romano Wants To Revive The Series

Batman Beyond voice and casting director Andrea Romano recently appeared at IGN Fan Fest and while there she said that she and the team behind the classic DC animated series would love to see a revival.

Romano has been a part of almost all of DC’s animated projects and a Batman Beyond revival is something that she would be thrilled to work on again. They are looking to the fans to help persuade Warner Bros. to make it happen. She says:

“It will depend on the fans asking, and asking, and asking for it until [show owner] Warner Bros. would be foolish not to. So they have to begin a campaign of sorts and just let Warner Bros. know that that’s what they want. Because we would like to make it, it would be great fun — we’re all still around, we’re all still available, everybody’s still doing beautiful work. So yes please, and thank you.”

The show ran for three seasons and got a straight-to-DVD movie. The story was set in a futuristic Gotham City and centered on a teenage Batman named Terry McGinnis (Will Friedle), who is being mentored by an elderly Bruce Wayne (Kevin Conroy).

There are rumors that WB animation is developing a sequel series to Batman: The Animated Series for HBO Max, but we are still waiting on official confirmation regarding that.

Would you be up for a Batman Beyond revival?
