Batman Introduces Himself To Jim Gordon in Trailer For The GOTHAM Series Finale and First Look at the New Catwoman

Now that Disney owns Fox, I just realized that DC’s Gotham is officially part of the Disney family in a way, so that’s interesting. Anyway, the end of Gotham is near. The final episode is set to air this week and we have a trailer to share with you for it!

The new trailer features a lot of exciting new footage, but the coolest part for me was finally seeing Batman introduce himself to Jim Gordon, telling him in a raspy deep Batman voice, “I am not your enemy.”

The season finale is set 10 years in the future and as a result there was one big casting change. Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman actress, Camren Bicondova, stepped down from the role. This was a decision that she made because she felt it was the right move for the characters evolution. She posted a lengthy explanation of her decision on Twitter. She was replaced by Lili Simmons (Westworld ,The Purge) and I included some first look photos of her below the trailer.

I’ve really enjoyed this series and the story it told. I also liked how most the characters were handled throughout the series. The show has a good and solid run, the creative team got to tell the whole story they set out to give the fans, and I’m excited to see how it all comes to a close.

Here’s a full breakdown of what you can expect from Gotham‘s final episode:

The series flash-forwards 10 years into the future, as Bruce is set to return to Gotham for the opening of the new Wayne Tower. A series of crimes leads Gordon to believe Penguin and The Riddler are up to their old tricks. However, when Bullock is framed for a murder, Gordon begins to piece together an even more sinister plot targeting the city, and a new figure emerges from the shadows to be the hero Gotham desperately needs in the all-new ‘The Beginning…’ series finale episode of Gotham.

Check out the trailer and let us know what you think about this series finally coming to an end. What are you most excited about seeing in the finale?
