Batman Recruits He-Man To Fight Superman in Upcoming INJUSTICE Comic
DC Comics has announced that they will be teaming up with Mattel for an upcoming Injustice comic book story arc that will feature Batman recruiting He-Man to help him fight Superman! It's like every 80s ten-year-old kid's dream come true! I use to mash characters like this up all the time when I was growing up with action figures and in art! Now, it's actually official!
The six-issue miniseries will be called Injustice Vs. He-Man and The Masters of the Universe. It sounds like a wild crossover and it will be written by Tim Seeley (Greyson, Nightwing, Green Lanterns). Here's the description that was released:
Believing He-Man and the Masters of the Universe defeated, a robotic impostor has seized control of Eternia—but not for long! After freeing his kingdom from this strongman’s rule, He-Man learns not everyone is pleased to see the pretender deposed—but Adam knows the value of freedom. When heroes from another dimension ask his aid in deposing a superhero turned dictator, he agrees. Teaming up with Batman against the Superman of the Injustice Universe, He-Man and his new allies face dangerous and familiar enemies in a battle where no world is safe!
I can't wait to check this comic series out! I think it's going to turn out to be a ton of fun. The art for the series, some of which you can see above, was created by Freddie E. Williams II, who previously worked on 2016’s the He-man/ThunderCats miniseries along with the Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover.
Injustice Vs. He-Man and The Masters of the Universe #1 will be released on July 18th, 2018.
