Batman Takes on Jack the Ripper in Haunting 19th Century Fan Film - RIPPER

Last year we shared a teaser trailer with you for a Batman fan film called Ripper. I was impressed by what I saw, and it got me pumped up to see the full film. Well, that film is now complete and online for you to watch! Ripper was written and directed by James Campbell, and it's a great short with a solid story that's definitely worth watching. The story is set in London, England and follows Batman as he takes on Jack the Ripper. Here's the synopsis:

London, 1888 and the Ripper murders are gripping the country. The people of Whitechapel are afraid to walk the streets at night and the police are no closer to cracking the case. Chief Inspector Abberline leads the investigation and with pressure from above to catch the killer, his own demons start to get the better of him... What Abberline doesn't know is that there is someone out there who wants to help. Someone in the shadows.... watching.... waiting to strike.

The movie not only pays homage to Batman, but it was also inspired by the classic Italian horror thrillers of the '60s and '70s, which I love. The filmmaker also drew inspiration from John Carpenter. You can easily see the those influences in the film, which was really cool because you don't see that kind of stuff anymore. I absolutely loved the tone of this film as it gave off a haunting vibe. After you watch the short let us know what you think.
