BATMAN V SUPERMAN Star Jesse Eisenberg Compares Comic-Con to Genocide
I'm guessing Jesse Eisenberg wishes he could take this one back.
In an interview with Yahoo about his Sundance film The End of The Tour, Eisenberg was asked about his experience at this past weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, and he did not have kind things to say.
"My time at Comic-Con was...I guess it's like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don't know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can't think of anything that's equivalent."
On one hand, I totally understand the sentiment he's trying to convey here. Comic-Con is an overwhelming thing for just a regular person to attend, let alone a star of one of the convention's most anticipated films. Eisenberg has always seemed like the kind of guy who loves his craft but doesn't love being a showman in public the way that someone like, say, Hugh Jackman does. That's fine. Some people have that kind of personality, and some don't. No big deal. But on the other hand, comparing Comic-Con to genocide is...well, it's just a very, very poor choice of words.
