BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Is Further Along Than We Think
Zack Snyder is in the middle of planning the Man of Steel sequel, Batman Vs. Superman, and screenwriter David S. Goyer talked to The Associated Press about the film, where it currently stands in the process, how they aren't paying attention to the fans when it comes to storytelling, and what he thinks about Batman fighting Superman. First off he reveals,
“One of the things that has been fun for us, is we’re a bit further along than what I think people realize."
Makes me wonder now if they actually do have a completed script, at least a first draft. He goes on to explain why they aren't paying attention to the fans.
"From a fan point of view, we’re conscious of that when you’re working on these things, but you can’t let yourself be paralyzed by that. At the end of the day, you still have to create something. And if you try and think, ‘Well what would the fans like?’ then you stop being creative. It’s sort of like, 'Where does it end?' You have to write the story that you want to write, and hope that people want to see it.”
Goyer then reveals who he thinks would win in a fight between the two iconic superheroes.
“Most comic book purists would say Batman, because he is the ultimate strategist. Even though it makes no sense whatsoever. If Superman just flicked his finger Batman would be done for.”
What do you think about Goyer's comments on the film? And who do you want to win in the fight between Batman and Superman?
