"Be Prepared" May Be in THE LION KING After All

We heard roughly a year ago that The Lion King would only include four songs from the cartoon film and Scar’s classic villainous call to arms “Be Prepared” would be omitted from the remake. However, Skyler Shuler, Editor-in-Chief of The DisInsider, has heard news to the contrary.

Personally, I love the song and it’s my favorite from the 1994 film. However, I have my concerns as it is Jeremy Iron’s voice that makes it so iconic. I’ve heard the Broadway version of the song and I don’t care for it which does not give me hope that I’d like any version that isn’t Iron’s. Then again, I’m still not 100% on board with the remake either. What do you think though? Are you happy to hear that “Be Prepared” is supposedly in the remake?

The Lion King is set to premiere in theaters on July 19, 2019.
