"Throughout the years we have never interfered, until now."

Marvel Studios has released the first teaser trailer and a poster for its highly anticipated film Eternals, which comes from Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao (Nomadland). This is a fantastic and exciting trailer that’s filled with beautiful imagery. It has a different tone and style than anything we’ve seen from Marvel so far. It looks like more of a unique Marvel film than I was expecting, and I love what I’m seeing. This could end up being another great Marvel film!

The movie stars Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena, and Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.

The trailer introduces us to the characters and shows that they have been around here on Earth for a long time, guiding and teaching the people here to develop human civilization throughout the years. It also shows the relationship of the characters and their team dynamics. They are also seen discussing The Avengers.

Eternals features “an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind's most ancient enemy, The Deviants.”

In the comics, The Eternals were sent to Earth 35,000 years ago by the Celestials to protect humankind from the Deviants. Zhao previously explained, “It’s about this group of incredible immortals, but through their journey, we really get to explore what it means to be human and humanity on our time on this planet.”

The film is currently slated to arrive in theaters on November 5th. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think!
