Beautiful Trailer for Apple TV+ Documentary THE YEAR EARTH CHANGED
Apple TV+ has released a new trailer for their upcoming documentary The Year Earth Changed. As we’ve all noticed, it has been a year since the pandemic began, when most people were made to stay home. Many of us worked from home, kids attended virtual school from home, businesses closed their doors, and everything recreational came to a halt. It’s been a weird year, and I feel that things are slowly getting back to a bit more normal, but for the past year, one demographic has felt a bit more free.
In the upcoming doc The Year Earth Changed, we get to see the animals of Earth coming out to explore the empty streets and empty oceans. The animals and their environments became safer and more comfortable in the world, resulting in their becoming easier to film. The doc is narrated by David Attenborough, and he said of the project:
“During this most difficult year many people have reappraised the value and beauty of the natural world and taken great comfort from it. But the lockdown also created a unique experiment that has thrown light on the impact we have on the natural world. The stories of how wildlife responded have shown that making even small changes to what we do can make a big difference.”
Here’s the synopsis:
Showcasing exclusive footage from around the world after an unprecedented year, “The Year Earth Changed” is a timely documentary special that takes a fresh new approach to the global lockdown and the uplifting stories that have come out of it. From hearing birdsong in deserted cities, to witnessing whales communicating in new ways, to encountering capybaras in South American suburbs, people all over the world have had the chance to engage with nature like never before. In the one-hour special, viewers will witness how changes in human behavior — reducing cruise ship traffic, closing beaches a few days a year, identifying more harmonious ways for humans and wildlife to co-exist — can have a profound impact on nature.
This looks like such a beautifully shot documentary and like they have captured some incredible shots that would not have been possible in any other year. The Year Earth Changed will premiere on April 16, 2021.
