Beautiful Trailer For The Chinese Animated Fantasy Film NE ZHA

You want a cool new Chinese film to watch? Well, I’m pretty pumped for one I just found out about called Ne Zha. It’s animated and looks beautiful and awesome. There are elements that remind me a bit of Kubo and the Two Strings and I love that movie, so I’m pretty stoked to see this one.

The film features the voice talents of Lü Yanting, Jiongsen Sefu, Han Mo, Chen Hao, Lü Qi, Yang Wei, and Zhang Jiaming with Yu Yang (aka Jiaozi) directing it. Yunyun Wei wrote the story and based it on Fenshenanyi (The Legend of Deification).

“A young boy, Nezha, is birthed from a heavenly pearl by the Primeval Lord of Heaven. Born with unique powers, Nezha finds himself as an outcast who is hated and feared. Destined by prophecy to bring destruction to the world, the young boy must choose between good and evil in order to break the shackles of fate and become the hero.”

Ne Zha will be available in USA theaters with English subtitles on August 29 in IMAX and more theaters on September 6.
