Beautiful Trailer For The Extraordinary and Powerful Film NINE DAYS with Zazie Beats and Winston Duke
Nine Days was hands down the best film that I saw at Sundance earlier this year. This film tells such a beautiful and powerful story. This was such a unique film filled with so much heart and soul and it’s one of those must-watch movies because it will make you look at life a little differently after watching it.
The movie also has an all-star cast which includes Winston Duke, Zazie Beetz, Benedict Wong, Tony Hale, Bill Skarsgård, David Rysdahl, and Arianna Ortiz.
The story follows Will (Duke) who “spends his days in a remote outpost watching the live Point of View (POV) on TV's of people going about their lives, until one subject perishes, leaving a vacancy for a new life on earth. Soon, several candidates — unborn souls — arrive at Will's to undergo tests determining their fitness, facing oblivion when they are deemed unsuitable. But Will soon faces his own existential challenge in the form of free-spirited Emma (Beetz), a candidate who is not like the others, forcing him to turn within and reckon with his own tumultuous past. Fueled by unexpected power, he discovers a bold new path forward in his own life. As I said in my review, this is an incredibly emotional movie to watch, and it features one of the most beautiful endings ever in a film and it made my heart swell with emotion.
Nine Days was directed by Edson Oda and Sony Classics will release it in select theaters on January 22nd, 2021.
