Beautiful Video Tribute for THE LORD OF THE RINGS 20th Anniversary

The Lord of The Rings trilogy are my three favorite films of all time. There’s nothing like them, and I don’t think we’ll ever see anything like them again.

I have fond memories of watching these films at the midnight screenings in theaters with my friends. This was a time when there was no reserved seating, so to get good seats we’d have to get in line super early. So much quality time with good friends and good food taking about movies all day before the movie started. I kinda miss those days.

I even dragged my girlfriend to these films with me at midnight when they first came out and took her with me the several other times I watched them in theaters. I ended up marring her, but it was during these screenings that she realized how hardcore of of movie geek I really was, and she married me anyway, so that was a plus.

Man, I’m sitting here reminiscing about those days and I’m kinda getting emotional about it. These Lord of the Rings movies were the best movie going experiences that I’ve had in my life.

It’s crazy that it’s been 20 years since these films came out, and they still hold up! The effects, makeup, and everything! What Peter Jackson and Weta did with these movies is still better than a lot of the VFX work that we are seeing today!

Also, there’s ok way these films would have been made the same way these days. When those three films were made, it was a perfect storm that will never happen again.
