BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD Season 3 Drops Funny Trailer and Release Date

The hilariously dumb duo in animation is back, and they’re ready to cause more chaos. The third season of the revival of Beavis and Butt-Head (the show’s eleventh overall) is officially set to premiere on Comedy Central on September 3.

The first two revival seasons streamed exclusively on Paramount+, but as announced in June 2024, the series will now air on Comedy Central moving forward. And yes, Paramount has dropped a brand-new trailer to get fans hyped.

The trailer delivers everything you’d expect. At one point, in what is clearly a dream sequence, Beavis and Butt-Head get a shoutout from Metallica before asking: “How much would it cost to buy the band?” Naturally, chaos follows as they end up knocking James Hetfield in the head with a gold bar. Classic.

The series first premiered in 1993 on MTV, offering its signature satirical and stupidly brilliant commentary on youth culture. It quickly became a cultural phenomenon, loved by many and loathed by just as many. After ending in 1997, the series returned briefly in 2011 for an eighth season, and now it’s found new life again in this latest revival.

Of course, the franchise has expanded beyond TV. Paramount Pictures released Beavis & Butt-Head Do America in 1996, and more recently, Beavis & Butt-Head Do the Universe hit Paramount+ in 2022. There was even a spinoff, Daria, which ran for five seasons on MTV.

Mike Judge, the creator and voice behind the iconic duo, is back at the helm. Judge also serves as an executive producer alongside Lew Morton, Michael Rotenberg, and the team at Titmouse including Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina, and Antonio Canobbio.

This isn’t the only nostalgia play for Judge. He’s also bringing back King of the Hill for Hulu with a brand-new 10-episode season dropping August 4.

Beavis and Butt-Head Season 3 hits Comedy Central on September 3, and if the trailer is any indication, it’s going to be just as idiotic and hilarious as ever.
