Become a Scarecrow in DUNGEONS & DRAGONS with STRAWFOLK
It’s spooky season. Halloween is coming up, the stores are orange and black and covered in cats, pumpkins, witches, ghosts, bats, etc. I’ve shared a number of unofficial Dungeons & Dragons supplements to help make spookier experiences this month and I’ve got one for the players wanting a character that is a little different.
Strawfolk is a supplement from Gabriel Gro that lets you make a Strawfolk character. Basically, you can play as a scarecrow. I love it. You can even choose if you want to be a Crowkin or a Scarefolk. I do want to note that Strawfolk does have the old Ability Score approach written out where your score increases are dictated by the race and subrace, but that’s easily overlooked for the newer method.
This is just a fun little supplement to add some more Halloween fun into your D&D games.
Long ago, the people of a now-forgotten town used all kinds of magic to improve their ways of life, especially in the fields and farms. They enchanted dozens of scarecrows to be more effective in scaring off birds and various pests. The people of town valued these living scarecrows so much, that they were seen as fellow townsfolk.
You can purchase Strawfolk from DMs Guild (affiliate link) for any price you see fit.
