There’s a behind-the-scenes photo from George Lucas’ Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith that shows Hayden Christiansen as Anakin Skywalker after his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on the volcanic planet of Mustafar.

The photo shows the practical makeup effects that were applied to give him those horrific and grotesque burns. While the movie didn’t turn out as good as a lot of fans hoped, you can’t deny the impressive VFX work that was put into bringing the story to life.

Even though the photo is said to be “rare” it has been floating around the internet for years. It’s just resurfaced thanks to Reddit and fans are being reminded about it.
