Behind-The-Scenes Video For Netflix's THE ONE PIECE Anime Series Offers an Exciting First Look
A behind-the-scenes video has been released for Netflix’s upcoming animated series The One Piece. The video features the work that WIT Studio has been engaged in for the project and it’s looking like this is going to be a beautifully animated series.
The video came with the following note: “Straw Hats, we’ve got some exciting news! WIT Studio has set sail on a new adventure, bringing ONE PIECE to life in a way you’ve never seen before.
“Get ready to dive into the world of Oda-Sensei through the eyes of Director Masashi Koizuka and the incredible team at WIT Studio.”
The One Piece’s production committee — made up of Shueisha, Fuji Television Network, and Toei Animation Co. representatives, have said that The One Piece “will be distinct from the TV anime series,” making for a “fresh yet familiar experience, utilizing cutting-edge visual technology to reimagine Luffy’s adventures through the beloved East Blue saga.”
One Piece is set in a fantasy world and follows the fantastical adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they explore exotic islands and endless oceans in search of the ultimate treasure ‘One Piece’ to become the next Pirate King. There’s no release date set for this project yet.
The series is inspired by Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga, and it will be different from the current anime series. One of the biggest differences we’ve seen so far is the visual style, and it will be interesting to see how the story will be handled.
