Bella Thorne to Make Her Feature Film Directorial Debut with COLOR YOUR HURT
Bella Thorne will be making her feature film directorial debut with the movie Color Your Hurt. The film will tell the true story of a young gay man growing up in the bible belt. She will direct from a screenplay that she wrote and a short film she directed titled “Unsettled.”
Thorne said in a statement: “Color Your Hurt is not just a screenplay; it’s one of the most inspiring projects I’ve ever penned. As I step into my new role as a movie director, it symbolizes the beginning of a truly impactful and exhilarating chapter in my career. I could not be more honored to tell a true story that has moments I deeply connect with.”
Producer David Lipper added: “Bella is remarkably talented, and Bob Daly and I want to support her vision in what is a very important story that needs to be told.”
Thorne is always taking on film projects to star in she also plays in all different kinds of genres, characters, and stories, and it seems like she’s a very ambitious person. So, it doesn’t surprise me that she will be taking on the directing duties of this next project.
Filming will take place in the Midwest and Italy in the spring of this year.
