Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas in Talks to Join Erotic Thriller Adaptation of DEEP WATER

Ben Affleck (Good Will Hunting, The Accountant) and Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049) are currently in talks to join the book to screen adaptation of erotic thriller Deep Water. The film will be based on the 1957 novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith. Variety reports the following synopsis:

The story follows a small-town couple in a loveless marriage in which the wife is allowed to take lovers as long as she does not desert the family. However, complications arise when the husband takes credit for the unsolved murder of one of the former lovers.

This sounds like a great project for the pair. Both Affleck and de Armas have a lot of projects on their plates right now, but this sounds like a drama they could each really get into.
