Ben Affleck Confirms He's Not Leaving The Batman Role and He's Excited to Work with Matt Reeves

Yesterday a rumor surfaced that Ben Affleck's Batman would be gracefully ushered out of the DCEU. Well, that rumor is false. Affleck confirmed today during the Justice League panel at Comic-Con that he is not leaving the Batman role. In fact, he's thrilled to be a part of it and he's excited to work with director Matt Reeves on The Batman. He said:

"I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest part in any universe, Marvel DC, anything–I’m so thrilled to do it. Its fucking amazing. I still can’t believe it. Everyone at the studio tells me I’m their Batman and I believe it. And Matt Reeves? I’d be an ape on the ground for Matt Reeves. Im blown away and its an exciting time in the DC Universe. I’m excited to be Batman."

That doesn't sound like the kind of guy who plans on leaving the role of Batman anytime soon. He's stoked to be a part it! I'm glad he's not leaving. I actually really enjoy Affleck in the role of Batman and it's great to know that this iteration of the character will continue to be explored in future films.
