Ben Affleck Describes His Experience Playing Batman in THE FLASH as "Fun," After the "Difficult" JUSTICE LEAGUE Shoot
It’s a well-known fact that the shoot for the 2017 film Justice League turned into a bit of a shit show. After the film’s original director Zack Snyder dropped out of the film due to a family tragedy, Joss Whedon took over and was a terror to work with, creating a hostile environment and cranking out a sub-par film to boot. This left a bad taste in most of the actors’ mouths, including Batman actor Ben Affleck.
But as it turns out, Affleck got another chance to don the cape and cowl and this experience more than made up for the first. In a recent interview with Variety at the red carpet for Affleck’s upcoming film The Tender Bar, he said:
“It was a really nice way to revisit that as the prior experience had been difficult. This was really lovely. Really fun. I had a great time,” before cracking, “I’m probably under some gag order that I’m not even aware that I probably just violated and I’m now going to be sued.”
He added what a great time he had with his co-stars, and mentioned he enjoyed being able to shoot in the U.K.:
“I love Ezra and I had a chance to see Jason [Momoa], who’s over there making ‘Aquaman [and the Lost Kingdom].’”
It’s nice to hear that Affleck was able to get back into the role and have a positive experience. The Flash is scheduled to hit theaters in 2022.
