Ben Affleck is Open To Appearing in JAY & SILENT BOB REBOOT Despite His Broken Friendship with Kevin Smith
There’s been a lot of drama between Ben Affleck and Kevin Smith over the years. They used to be really close friends, but over the years they have grown apart and the friendship has becoming fractured due to various reasons. Smith has repeatedly blamed himself for talking too much and saying things he shouldn’t have said.
The two haven’t worked together since 2006, but during an interview with Collider, Affleck was asked if he would be open to appearing in Smith’s upcoming film Jay & Silent Roboot and he said that he would if they could make it work out.
“I haven’t been asked to make an appearance but you never know, there’s still time. We’ll see. I think if it was up to me, I would rather do Holden than Shannon, but I would defer to Kevin.”
I think it’d be pretty awesome if Affleck showed up in Jay & Silent Bob Reboot! That would be a very cool and unexpected surprise. After this interview, I hope that Smith reaches out to him and tries to make it work. At least as a way to rekindle the friendship that they once had.
Affleck played Shannon Hamilton in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, he briefly played himself in a scene from Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season, along with Matt Damon.
The Jay & Silent Bob reboot will see the two character “return to Hollywood to stop a reboot of 'Bluntman and Chronic' movie from getting made.”
Would you like to see Ben Affleck appear in the Smith’s upcoming film?
