Ben Affleck is Playing Batman Again in AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM
It looks like Ben Affleck is reprising his role as Batman again in director James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Affleck has said several times over the years that he’s done playing Batman, and we were made to believe that The Flash would be the last time we see him in the role. Well, Affleck has obviously changed his mind!
The news came from Jason Momoa himself on Instagram, which features a photo of himself hanging out with Affleck. That photo came with the following note:
“REUNITED bruce and arthur. love u and miss u Ben WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j”
There’s no information on how big Affleck’s role will be in the Aquaman sequel, but it’ll be good to see him in the role again. I’ve actually always liked Affleck’s version of The Dark Knight, so this is a pleasant surprise. What do you think about Affleck coming back to play Batman again?
In the sequel, “When an ancient power is unleashed, Aquaman must forge an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally to protect Atlantis, and the world, from irreversible devastation.”
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and it also stars Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.
The movie is set to hit theaters on March 17th. We’ve previously seen footage of the film, and you can watch our reaction to that footage here.
