Ben Affleck Joins Anne Hathaway in The Netflix Film THE LAST THING HE WANTED
The director of the Oscar-nominated Netflix film Mudhound, Dee Rees, is currently developing a new film project called The Last Thing He Wanted. This is another Netflix film project and it has quite an impressive cast.
Ben Affleck (Argo, Justice League, Gone Girl) has been cast in the project and he will join Anne Hathaway, Toby Jones (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Rosie Perez (Rise), and Edi Gathegi (StartUp).
The Last Thing He Wanted is based on the book by Joan Didion and the story centers on "a hardscrabble journalist named Elena McMahon (Hathaway) who inherits her father’s position as a dealmaker — an arms dealmaker. She soon finds herself on dangerous ground as the Iran-Contra Affair’s arms-for-drugs plot reaches its tipping point."
This will be the second film project that Affleck has worked on at Netflix. The first is an upcoming action-adventure film called Triple Frontier with Charlie Hunnam and Oscar Isaac.
I though Mudbound was a great film and if Rees brings that same level of directing talent to this new film, there's no doubt it's going to be good.
