Ben Affleck on How He Relates to Batman's Anger

If you didn't already know, Batman can become a very angry person, and he has a rage inside of him that pushes him to do the things that he does. In an interview with The Sunday Times, actor Ben Affleck, who'll be taking on the role of the Dark Knight in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, talked about how he relates to Bruce Wayne in that way, but also admits that it's a character flaw saying:

"I think it's a necessity, historically, in the tradition of these films. For me, anger is so deeply buried and contained that when it does kind of come out, it comes out in stronger bursts. I tend to be respectful, polite, get along, put up with, put up with, put up with... then, when it finally emerges, it's not something I have a ton of control over. I'm not gonna go into a Wolverine berserker rage, but I do have a, I do... That is an interesting thing that you point out. That's my personality... By the way, that's a character flaw, I think. I should sit down and say, 'Listen, I just want to let you know what happened there wasn't OK', instead of going, let it go, let it go, let it go ... 'Ah, that's not a big deal', until finally you just pop!"

I'm sure a lot of people can relate to what Affleck is describing here. I know that I've been guilty of it. I still believe that Affleck is going to make for a great Batman. He looks great in the role, but I'm really curious to see how he actually pulls off playing the character and how he made it his own.

Affleck's very angry Batman will face off against Henry Cavill's Superman on March 25th, 2016. The movie also stars Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, and Jeremy Irons.
