Ben Affleck Rewrote BATMAN V SUPERMAN Dressed as Batman
In news I'm not quite sure how to take, US Weekly is reporting that Ben Affleck made script revisions while in the bat-suit for Batman v Superman. This isn't some Hollywood eccentric move, mind you, as the full line from the article reads like this...
The Oscar-winning screenwriter “would go into wardrobe and get all suited up for the day in his Batman suit,” explains the insider of the action flick. “Then he would sit around reworking the script. Ben wasn’t thrilled with it and would find himself on multiple occasions fixing it the day of.”
I'm sure this isn't the first time there have been rewrites the day of shootings, but "often" sounds like a bit too much changing in my opinion. Granted, this is one of those friend of a friend sources. For all we know, it could be some publicist trying to generate even more hype for the movie. For me as a fan, however, it didn't instill a lot of confidence that Affleck didn't like parts of the script and went all Goodwill Hunting in on it dressed as Batman.
Affleck is a solid screenwriter, though, so I'm sure it will be fine. I'm telling myself that anyway...
