Ben Foster, Katherine Waterston, and More Join The Cast of the Thriller FLOODPLAIN
Get ready for a new pulse-pounding thriller as Ben Foster (The Survivor), Justice Smith (Sharper), Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts), and Maria Bakalova (Bodies Bodies Bodies) join forces for the Topic Studios production Floodplain, which is being directed by Tim Sutton.
The movie delves into the powerful themes of family trauma, environmental justice, and race, telling the story of a man (played by Foster) who must confront the mistakes of his past while trying to prevent a catastrophic flood in his hometown.
The film project has a great cast and talented creative team and it sounds like it could make for a good movie!
This project marks a reunion between Topic Studios and Foster, who previously worked together on Debra Granik's Leave No Trace. Written by Bill Gullo, the film is produced by Oscar nominee Jordan Horowitz (La La Land) of Original Headquarters and Annie Marter (The Devil All the Time).
Topic Studios will finance the film, with Ryan Heller, Michael Bloom, and Jennifer Westin serving as executive producers.
