BEN-HUR Trailer and Chariot Featurette Highlight The Remake's Practical Stunts

Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer and featurette for the studio's remake of the Biblical epic Ben-Hur, directed by Wanted and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov. I'm still baffled as to who thinks one of the most classic movies ever made (the '59 version won eleven Oscars) needs a gritty modern remake, but here we are anyway. The trailer is...well, you'll have to watch it and see, and the featurette concentrates on the updated take on the iconic chariot race from the first movie and how practical the stunts are. I'm sure they put a lot of hard work into it, but does that justify this movie's existence?

Ben-Hur hits theaters on August 19, 2016.
