Benedict Cumberbatch Parodies Ridley Scott's Iconic Apple Commercial in SNL Video

If you're a younger reader of this site, you may have never seen Ridley Scott's iconic 1984 commercial for Apple's Macintosh computer. Take a look:

Iconic Ridley Scott advert for the launch of the Apple Mac in 1984.

The spot was a hugely successful piece of advertising, and is hailed as being one of the key moments that turned Super Bowl commercials into huge events. (You know how some people only watch the game for the commercials now? That didn't happen before this one aired.) It went on to win all sorts of awards and is widely recognized as one of the greatest commercials of all time.

This past weekend, Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch hosted Saturday Night Live and appeared in a pre-taped sketch in which they put a funny new twist on Scott's classic commercial. The official YouTube video has been removed for some reason, so click to right around the 15 minute mark (just after the monologue) to watch it in the player below:

Damn...Cumberbatch really can make A.C. Slater-ing a toilet look cool.
