BETRAYAL AT MYSTERY MANSION is a Fun-Looking SCOOBY-DOO Twist on a Classic Game
Imagine my surprise when Wizards of the Coast announced the other day a new game in Avalon Hill’s Betrayal family. I love Betrayal at House on the Hill and Scooby-Doo is a bit of a big deal at my house, so I loved to hear about Betrayal at Mystery Mansion. In this take, the players will play as the members of the Mystery Inc. gang as they look for clues about the monster haunting the mansion. After enough clues are found, the haunt will trigger and like other Betrayal games, one player will switch sides to be the Monster.
Based on what I see in the images, it looks like the mansion is only one level, but you can also explore the grounds. That’s an interesting twist. Also, I understand but am saddened that instead of figures I could paint we’re just going to get standees.
Betrayal at Mystery Mansion will be available on May 15 with an MSRP of $34.99. You can even pre-order the game through Wal-Mart right now.
