BEVERLY HILLS COP 4 Moves Forward at Netflix with Mark Molloy Set to Direct
Eddie Murphy’s long-awaited Beverly Hills Cop 4 is moving forward at Netflix, and they’ve hired up-and-coming director Mark Molloy to direct the movie. It’s going to be really interesting to see Murphy reprise his role as Axel Foley again after all these years. It’s also going to be a ton of fun!
Molloy replaces directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who ended up leaving the project to put their focus and attention on the Warner Bros. DC movie Batgirl, which recently wrapped production.
Jerry Bruckheimer is back to produce the film which will continue the adventures of the Detroit cop, who first appeared in the 1984 film. Netflix has said in the past that if this next film does well at the streamer, they are open to working with the crew on further sequels.
That first Beverly Hills Cop film is so damn funny and I enjoyed the other two movies that were made. I’m just looking forward to seeing Murphy tap back into that same energy again with this fourth film and I hope it actually delivers some great comedy.
