Beware THE POULTRYGEIST in Your Thanksgiving D&D Adventures
If you live in the United States of America, you’ll probably be gathering around the table next Thursday with loved ones and celebrating Thanksgiving. A typical feast includes a turkey and it’s become the mascot for the holiday. Why not get into the holiday spirit with your Dungeons & Dragons group though? PJ Pirrello and Zac Jennings of Goblin Scrawl Games recently released a brief adventure themed around Thanksgiving called The Poultrygeist and it’s absolutely incredible. I mean, it has phrases like “hundreds of turkey maniacally gobbling” in it and the description includes this reworked quote from John Donne’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls”: "Ask not for whom the turkey gobbles; it gobbles for thee." If that doesn’t sell you on this, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s designed for 4-5 level 5 characters and includes a custom map, 3 new monsters, and a new magic item. I love it.
When the weather turns cold and the leaves begin changing, turkeys can once again be heard in the woods around the old dwarven hunting lodge, and the poultrygeist rises to claim more victims.
