Big Budget Movies That Completely Bombed at the Box Office
Cracked put together a list of fifteen big-budget movies that ended up completely bombing at the box office. Some studios sure took some big gambles on certain film projects that didn’t quite work out the way they had hoped.
While many of us go to the movies for escapism and entertainment, sometimes movies just end up leaving audiences frustrated and disappointed. This list of films came with the following note:
This list is a tribute to the flops, the failures, the box-office bombs. These are the movies that were made with the best of intentions, but just didn’t quite make it. From The 13th Warrior to The Astronaut’s Wife, from Ali to Beloved, these are the movies that, despite their high budgets and star power, just didn’t hit the mark.
Now, while these are considered flops, there are a couple of films on the list that I actually enjoyed including Terry Gilliam’s The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Keanu Reeves’ 47 Ronin, and Antonio Bandaras’ The Thirteenth Warrior, which lost $100+ million!
