BIG CITY GREENS Gets a Third Season Order from Disney Channel
Big City Greens is a show on Disney Channel that I’ve heard good things about and is on my list of shows to check out. Disney Channel has now given the series a third season order which should be exciting for fans. The second season is currently airing with new episodes starting to air again on January 16.
"Big City Greens" follows mischievous and optimistic 10-year-old Cricket Green, who moves from the country to the big city with his wildly out of place family—older sister Tilly, father Bill and Gramma Alice. The series is influenced by the Houghton brothers' childhood growing up in the small rural town of St. Johns, Michigan, with many of the locations and characters inspired by their real-life family members and townsfolk.
In addition to the order, the creators of Big City Greens, Chris Houghton and Shane Houghton have also expanded their deal with Disney, and in addition to Big City Greens, they’ll be creating new animated series, shorts, and movies for both Disney Channel and Disney+. In a joint statement, they said:
We are excited to be deepening our relationship with Disney. They have been very supportive of us and our crazy ideas, and we are looking forward to continuing to grow 'Big City Greens' as well as develop new and exciting projects together.
Are you excited for the third season of Big City Greens? What do you hope to see from the brothers in the future?
