BIG HERO 6 Actor Ryan Potter is Set to Play Beast Boy in DC's Live-Action TITANS Series
DC's new live-action Titans series has found its Beast Boy! The team behind the series has cast Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6) in the role of Garfield “Gar” Logan a.k.a. Beast Boy. He joins the previously cast Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, and Teagan Croft. Here are some details on the character that were shared by Deadline:
As a child, Potter’s Garfield “Gar” Logan contracted the lethal disease, Sakutia, while on an African expedition with his geneticist parents. Treated with an experimental drug, Gar survived but not without developing some bizarre side effects. Along with skin and hair turning permanently green, the wisecracking, fun-loving Beast Boy is able to reshape himself into any animal of any size he can imagine.
Titans is being written by Akiva Goldsman, DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti and this is the previously released synopsis:
Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson (Thwaites) emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire (Diop), Raven (Croft) and others.
The series also stars Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly as the recurring characters Hawk and Dove, and they may end up getting their own spinoff series in the future. I assume it all depends on how well the Titans series does.
